Happy Deepavali

Happy Deepavali....went over to Uncle Shan's place to savor the nice yummie array of curries ranging from chicken, prawn, squid, vege & the very special kind of nasi briyani. Simply delicious...taste is just nice with a hint of spicyness....Took some pics with my hp, too blur to post it up though :(

However, i enjoy the night with good food and chatting with other guests there :)

Guess this might be long overdue post.

Had Pun Choy at Midlands Court with colleagues, if not mistaken is sumwhere ard May. Really yummie dish filled with all delectable ingredients.

Inside the pot consists of abalone, big prawns, duck palm, sea cucumber, mushrooms, brocolli and other stuffs.

The Pun Choy comes along with Hor Yip Fun. Very tasty.....

Here come the mouth watering dessert. Longan & gingko served with fried red bean paste cake.

A yummie indulgence which cost us RM328 for the whole set. The food taste absolutely nice and all of us are indeed satisfy :)

Bought this cute little jeans from a fren. Its a pencil case actually. Can put all my makeup stuff too ;p

Re-Ment Sushi Collection

Finally i'm done with my sushi collection from Re-Ment....pheeeww. Been keeping this for like almost few months. This set costs RM120. I simply luv this cute delicate sushi miniature.

Inside this box contain 6 small boxes. Each box have different set of sushi :)

The only thing is that i don't have a proper place top put all the sushi. I'm still considering if i should buy a glass shelf to store it. That would cost me another few bucks :(

How nice if i have the complete sushi bar. Now i only have a quarter of the bar. Perhaps i could DIY...save a lot then.

Anyway, Re-Ment products can be found at a toy store in Island Plaza. I'm looking for another Korean Food Set...teehee

Had a blast trip to KL last weekend.

Day One
Shopping spree! woohoo...Went over to Pavillion, Lot 10, Sungai Wang & Berjaya Times Square

Ooh..i love Times Square. Alot of cheap stuff. Below are items bought:

~14 pcs of clothes (RM13 to RM25) darn cheap!
~2 MNG pants (usual price RM99, aft % RM59 only) gosh!
~3 wallets
~3 bags
~2 leggings
~1 Miss Selfridge undy
~Uncountable souveniers, cute breads & cakes (fake one)

It's kinda silly..still manage to camwhore afer such an exhausted day. Shop from 11.30am untill 9pm ;p

Day Two
After breakfast at Subang, went over to Sunway Lagoon. Weather terribly hot, i can feel the burning sensation. Guess 2-3 ply of sunblock won't help much.

This is the first time there and will be the last time too.

Just manage to play few attractions ride while some other rides are too scary. Perhaps i'm too old for this :)

Paid RM43 entrance fees for 2 hours..what a waste. Just can't stand the heat and sweating all over and thus, went over to Sunway Pyramid for shopping.

MNG sales!! teehee......

Manage to get 2 pants there....usual price is RM99, now only RM59 aft %. Cheap....cheap.....

Shop for ard 2 hours and then went to Times Square again :D still the best place to shop. Final bargain and last minute shopping before go back.

What a tiring day but it's worth. Spent ard RM750 for this trip.

Back to work tmr...aih.....

Happy Mama Day!

Nothing much, just went over to Kim Gary for dinner as mom and granny craving over the Stone Rice keke....Besides, there were 50% discounts because we had the members card and some coupon thingy. Total bill less than RM50 for four of us....CoooL!

Seafood Stone Rice

My dad opt for steak as he doesn't like the Stone Rice. But he commented the steak so so only. However, the smell is very tempting when the steak arrive. Guess he don't really like to dine at Kim Gary o_o

After dinner, had a brisk walk, then passed by Watson. Don't have intention to buy anything but who knows end up......Here are few unnecessary things that i bought O_O

New Asience shampoo & conditioner. Read quite alot of good reviews on this. So, i decided to try on it. One thing that capture my attention....MADE IN JAPAN.....Shampoo & Conditioner sold at RM14.90 respectively.....so cheap eh!

Then to this....Whitening Hydrating UV Lotion & Whitening Body Scrub from Garnier. Although i still have sooo many used, unused, partially used of lotions & scrubs, i still can't resist to try out this. According to the 'Skin Fairness Ruler' i will take up the challenge in 4 weeks time, skin will become fairer & luminous. At the moment, my skin tone is under no.6 according to the Ruler. Stay tune!! If i have the patience to apply it everyday la keke.

Next is the Dentiste Toothpaste....MADE IN GERMANY....keke. Used it nite time & wake up with fresh breath....lets see.... :)

This little Watson Strawberry Exfoliating Body Wash. Nice scent! I like the small little bottles...convenient for travelling too.

Last but not least, how could i resist this cute Sesame Street Facial Pads? Hmmm......RM4.90 only for 100 pieces. Need this for makeup remover.

And also bought some other daily use necessities which came total bill of RM100+

Today i'm so free staying at home, nothing much to do...just lazying and blogging.

Seldom have this chance to be so free & easy, mind totally free of work, stress, worries & pressure. However, i'm taking 4 days leave for nothing. No vacation, no tour & no transport.

Oh gosh...miss you sooo much, my green baby. I wonder how are you doing in workshop. Now i realized how important you are & i never really appreciate you before...You will sure be there when i need you.

The accident happened when i try to keep right & dat stupid fella did not break, i guess, bang onto my car till the whole bumper came off! I'm so terrified at that moment because it was a humongous trash truck...pheeeww. Then, he claimed that i'm wrong & i have to bear the total damage of RM740. With this amount of money i can go to Bangkok lioa.

Very 'suay' this month. All the bad things like lining up to me one after another. Hope bad luck will fade away soon & good luck please come to me!

However, a toast for myself for endless & sleepless nite of PQT & SCP. Now what? SAM Calculation? 'blah' WTH

Annabelle's Place is one of my recent discovery located near TARC. Simple yet peaceful ambiance indeed a perfect place to dine in. Food taste sooo good especially the Stuff Crab with cheese fillings. It really satisfied my tastebud.

I always believe in my strong intuition and instinct. Nothing particular, its just a provocative of feelings.

Had a 'little pantry' in my workdesk. Surprise to find out that there were a box of Ferrero Roche chocolates and big packet of Famous Amos biscuits in there. Both were my favourites :) Then, another coll of mine gave me a packet of Kampar Chicken Biscuits. Very nice indeed. Thank you very much.

However, my mood today swings drastically. I just can't explain why and suddenly all my energy level decrease tremendously. Not because of anyone or anything but somehow things turned out to be so complicated. Some can be so rational but when it came into certain level, all the rationality became a fuss.

Festive season around the corner..woohoo! (listening to Kenny-G Xmas Collections...super nice!) Looking forward to the X-mas buffet..gonna enjoy to the max kekeke...seems like been far away from food hunting recently. Hmmm...however, did not lose weight lor...seems like my IDR have to postpone dy. 2009 resolution perhaps? I wonder...

My New Lappy

Never in my entire life work more than 12 hours per day. For the first time i did it, from 8.30am till 9pm. Pecah rekod man! 4 hours OT..keke..Good thing is that i can avoid the bumper to bumper jam...it's really sickening driving back on Friday. Really got that phobia few yrs back when i was in Moto. Stuck there for 2 and half hours only reach home.

Btw, i super duper hate the KPI graph! my goodness :( More and more each day.

Finally, bought my 1st ever laptop in Harvey Norman at QB. Been so many months computer-less, felt like i'm so outdated and lost touch with all my frenzzz....haha. The best part is that i'm able to blog more now. The sad part...spent few K's. *sigh*

However, not so familiarize with Vista, really need to brush up my computer knowledge..sucks! And graphs...GRAPHS!! Nothing...nothing..just to let go my frustration on GRAPHS! Quite similar to XP (more user friendly) but still can adapt with it. It takes time though but that's ok.

Luckily i did not chose Apple lor, if not lagi susah...

I so damn miss my frenzzz....really sooory for cancelling the appointment lor cos i waited the lappy setup till 9.30pm leh, hmmmm...let's set a time for K session ya :)

Isaribi Tei Japanese Restaurant

I'm super duper tired today. Woke up early, went over to Campbell Street market had breakfast, Koay Teow Th'ng and Chee Cheong Fun. Suddenly feeling ravenous that's why ordered so many things to eat :) After that, strolling around wet market. Sultry weather, extremely hot and i'm sweating like in sauna.

Then, went back home and start housekeeping. Finally, got chance to grab my dad in helping me to clear the third room. Full of dirt and trash. I guess 80% of stuffs in the room is my belongings. So messy till found some long lost toys, pressies, old books and other unwanted stuff. The room kinda small but it took me 7 hours straight to clear up all the mess..duh...from 12pm to 7pm...non-stop.

Tired but happy that everything settled before dinner...guess what, need to treat my dad dinner lor for helping me hehe. Of course my mom and granny also joined us. Decided to had Japanese cuisine at Isaribi Tei. Located at Chow Thye road, just next to Jemputree (will blog bout that later).

Nice food, nice environment, NICE price too.

Yes...indeed. Few ongoing projects, need to crack my head, brainstorming to meet deadline. With the constant stress, pressure, anxiety, sleepless nite and tummy growling, im loving my job more...YEAH! Not exaggerating but somehow i can drown myself into it rather than thinking of other useless thing.

It's quite challenging to me. BUT i believe in my strength and ability. God bless....

Dimsum...dimsum!

Craving for dimsum...so,woke up early to savour the steamy hot varieties of yummie dimsum. Went over to Aik Hoe Restaurant for a delightful breakfast.

This restaurant had been selling dimsum since 1952. The business operated from generation to generation for 56 years...wow! Definately a place for granny to indulge in reminiscence :)

Nice to start of with a cuppa chinese tea...i prefer 'heong pin'

why they alwaz serve 2 cups of tea for each person?

The dimsum goes well with a dip in chinese wasabi aka 'kailat' mix with chilly sauce.

What a heavy breakfast for me. In fact i seldom eat breakfast but once a while i will crave for dimsum. It reminds me of my beloved granpa while dining at Aik Hoe. This is his favourite hang out place, chit chatting with his buddy while enjoying delicious dimsum.

Thai food had always been one of my favourite cuisine. The authentic cuisine brings out flavour of hot, spicy, sour and sweet. A perfect combination for a delightful indulgence as whole. Recently, found out one of the Thai restaurant at Abu Sittee Lane. This restaurant really serves great food as the chef mainly from Thailand. While, the taste is excellent especially Tom Yam soup.

There are varieties to chose from the extensive menu. It also indicate 'chef from Thailand' at the front cover :)

Every dish was great. The steam fish is so fresh and sprinkled with lots of garlic, onion, cili padi and most importantly lemon grass. This truly brings out the aroma of the fish and soup. Ooh...its extremely sour. But is still like it and managed to drink up all the soup. Non of my family members can take it though ;p My dad nearly puke out! *blah*

This hearty meal really satisfy my tastebud. *Thumbs Up*

Rojak Celup

New way to eat rojak.

Found out a new place for Rojak Celup. Located in Pantai Bersih, Butterworth, this stall sell very special kind of rojak. Not like the conventional type where fruits mix with sauce togather.

Those fruits are nicely arrange in a stick (like lok lok type). Varieties to chose from. Mango, guava, pink jambu, cuttlefish, tomatoes, quail eggs, fish balls....

And then...just dip the stick fruit in this special rojak sauce with lots of chunky peanuts. (Arghh...i hate nuts ^_^) But i still dip into it, no choice.

Very very spicy....

Actually they have both spicy and non-spicy sauce. But i opt for the spicy one ;p

Special way to eat rojak yea....Its cheap, only 40 cents per stick. End up i'm eating like RM6-RM7 like that. How many sticks?? *wink*

However, i stil prefer the traditional type. I find it not hygiene as everyone standing there dipping in the same sauce over and over again. While the stick is recyclable. But its a nice experience though.

HK Tang Yuen

Finally, i can enjoy a bowl of steamy hot glutinous rice ball aka tang yuen. This stall selling HK Tang Yuen operates from7 to 11pm at New Lane coffee shop.

I simply l.o.v.e this dessert as i only manage to eat it once a year. But now, i can eat it all year round...hehe.

Superb! Sweet and smooth...A bowl with two big tang yuen with fillings, either sesame or peanuts and four small ones without fillings. I chosed both sesame fillings as i don't take nuts ;p

Hope i won't kena tooth decay lar as i like to eat sweet things...hehe.

Taiping Trip

Went over to Nibong Tebal last weekend for lunch with a bunch of relatives. Actually our main intention is to Taiping. The reason is to 'talk with the dead'. I mean invite my grandpa to come up and talk with him.

Let me tell ya bout the story first before i continue the food part....

That's ridiculous. I could'nt believe such things where we can talk with the deceased. I'm really terrified at that moment. I thought only in movies i see those scenes.

But in reality it happens........

Woke up at 4am to prepare for the exciting journey. Gather up at relatives house at Permatang Pauh and wait for the rest to come. Start journey around 7am after breakfast. Total 20 of us in four cars. Finally reached our destination at about 8am+.

I've no idea the exact location but it was an old wooden house in some remote area in Taiping. Wow! alot of people already queing up. Lucky enough we don't have to queue as one of my relatives who stay in Taiping already took the queing number for us earlier. I already start to feel anxious and excited!

In fact, i'm freaking SCARED!

A woman in her fifties start up the process with some ritual thingy.....praying and monotonous chanting, asking us few questions and then she start mumbling....Suddenly...a loud BANG of her hands on the table. I guess her soul already pocessed by my grandpa.

Believe it or not, sounds really like granpa and he can tell and identified all of us...except ME!

I'm TERRIFIED....don't know what to say or ask at that moment. In fact i wanna ask him lot of things like how is he doing, what is the condition down there, got anything to buy, got shopping complex or not.....in the end im just too scared to ask all that. Just listen to their conversation. Quite accurate on what he mentioned, about 80% accuracy.

The conversation goes on for 10 minutes and at last, he knew im his grandaughter and said that he luv me very much. I just can't hold back my tears and my last words to him "GongGong, i miss you very much !_! In a short while, he wave goodbye to us and left.

Ooh....this is saddening.

In fact i'm still puzzled. Should i believe or not? I don't know. But nevermind la....once and for all.

After that, we went for lunch at Restaurant Law Chang Kee in Nibong Tebal.

Reached there around 11am+ but waiter not even care to serve us. Not even ask bout drinks. Sit there wait and wait....finally realised that they will open shop at 11.30am SHARP! Perhaps due to feng shui? *sickening* damn hungry at that moment. Other patrons waited patiently to order food.

The food was excellent especially crab porridge. Taste so fresh and sweet.

Will definately go there again to savour other dishes:)

St. Anne's Church

Visited St. Anne's Church in Bukit Mertajam the other day. It was opened in the year 1888. Huge old church with 'Statues Of Passion'. Nowadays, this place had become a popular tourist attraction.

This was actually my first time visit to a church. Although i'm not Christian but i still adore every religion in this world. They have their own story behind, beliefs and teachings.

I'm free thinker

A perfect sunny day. Took a few shots there. An eye opening to the old historic building.

Plenty of Jesus statues around the compound.

This church attracts a lot of tourists. Many people will come during Feast of St. Anne. I enjoyed reading the historic details attached to each statues. Now, i get better knowledge of each and every figurine.

I do...make a wish in the chapel.

Food & Tea Hong Kong Restaurant

Raya holiday was great! Although did not go travel this year...sigh...:( Fully utilised the 2day holidays shop, shop and shop....till drop!!

Went to Bukit Mertajam. Main purpose is shopping at new mall of course, Aeon Seberang Perai City Shopping Centre. I guess the opening should be a month ago. Quite easy to locate the place though...

The new mall is great,huge and have a lot of restaurants:) That's what i'm looking for when reach there,hehe. Alot of of people due to holidays, every restaurants also quite packed. Initially wanted to try out Che Go Korean food but extremely long queue:( Will try that next time.

Exploring around for few minutes and finally decided to eat at Food & Tea Hong Kong Restaurant. Somehow same concept with Kim Gary, serving HK style cuisine. Anyway, after browsing through menu, here's my order.

The Menu

Chicken & Salted Fish in Claypot Rice (Sar Pou Fan...my fav)

Minced Beef & Fried Egg Spaghetti

Yam 'Tong Sui'

Fresh Pineapple Cubes in Coconut Milk

Overall, the food is so so only. The sar pou fan taste quite mild. I like the drink, chilling ice blended and very refreshing. But ar...i'm just thinking whether they will recycle the pineapple or not..yeee!

After eating, walk walk to digest. Saw few pairs of nice shoe but din buy la. Bought 2 skirts instead :) The mall is huge but only 2 levels to walk actually. So within 1 hour can walk finish dy.

So fast raya holiday is over. Looking forward to Deepavali holiday hehe :)

Lazy Sunday

A perfect Sunday! Spending my day lazing and strolling around Paradise Sandy Beach Resort. Perfect weather but i'm not into any water sports either. Thus, enjoying the breeze while gazing at the wide ocean and listen to wave sound. Very relaxing and soothing. Ooh...not forgetting my sunblock with highest spf though...;p

Suddenly had a deep thought. What had i achive so far? Being so indecisive is not a good sign. Really need to made up my mind. Chit chatting with my buddy is one of the way to ease tension. Thanks for being a great listener. Not only that, really bad luck this month. My car bang into the pole while turning into Giant carpark entrance. I don't even realise there's a pole there...can't see at all. Perhaps is my fault though for being careless this time. My poor baby! Spent RM500 fixing and spraying.

Hope all bad luck will fade away and good luck coming to me soon -_-

After few hours of chatting, went for dinner at Delifrance in Paradise Resort. It was great. My last visit to Delifrance was about 10 yrs ago in Komtar. Business can't survive till recently i found out they finally resume business again after such long years. So, without hesitation, i order Chicken with Hot&Spicy Sauce while bud order Black Pepper Chicken.

Taste good but not really spicy though, however, the skin is very crispy.

Overall, the food is acceptable with reasonable price. Will definately visit there again to try out the tuna croissant. Yum!

Hainan Town

After a long hard day at work, time for a great dinner. Woohoo! Hainan Town really serves delicious nyonya food. Although there were few restaurants serving nyonya food but i find it not as good as here. Delectable range of dishes to chose from the menu. Thumbs up!

I know the red bean paste looks ugly. Eat halfway then only remember to take pic ;p Taste absolutely good. Perfect sweetness, creamy yet smooth.

Among all my favourite dish is the Petai with Sambal. Raw petai mix with spicy sambal and eat with white rice,oooohh.....perfect! Sluurp!

The other dishes taste amazingly good though. Although a bit pricey but its worth.

Singapore

Yay...time to post bout my SG trip. Only 5days but i had a blast time there. Really miss SG a lot, it bring back tons of memories with my granpa. Its been few yrs since my last visit to SG, tremendous change in few places especially Chinatown. Wow, can't really recognise the place.

Of course, the most wonderful things will be the cuisine part. Tried to conquer all yummielishes food but too bad my tummy can't fill all..keke..

Approximate of 1 hours and 20 mins flight from PG to SG. My brunch in SQ195.

Landed in Terminal 2 Changi Airport. The first thing in my mind...chicken rice...Went to Terminal 3 foodcourt and found out there's a stall selling chicken rice. So without hesitation, here it is....

Happy Mid Autumn Festival

Wooohooo....i had alot of mooncakes this year. Like the traditional one of course which is Lotus with 2 yolks :)However, tried out the chocolate flavour, quite nice. Ooh ya...and not to forget tiramisu. Superb!

While enjoying those yummie thingy, one thing for sure i'd gained few pounds...keke.

Had a blast nite with besties. Wonderful indulgence at Manila Place. Ordered the signature dish...Bombay Chicken...ooh..nice! However, did not manage to capture any pics cos too hungry at that moment. And also rushing to watch Black Water at GSC. Ermm..this movie sucks. Only 5 casts for the whole movie, 2 of it is 'kelefeh'. However, there were also some breath taking scene where the crocodile suddenly jump up to attack. Elly screamed! That really make my heart pounds out. Finally, in the end of show only one survivor. I suppose that is the lead actress. Lame story......

Initially we wanted to go Starbucks after movie. But who knows, we don't know where is the exit to ground floor as that time was already 11pm, so all the escalator closed. Meanwhile, there was a massive renovation going on in GP. After we tried to search around, finally we plan not to go Starbucks cos too tired dy...

Guess what, in the end we drive thru McD to buy milkshakes...chit chat in Berry's car. We found a nice spot though...hehe. Then, Elly start mumbling...blah blah blah...ngap ngap ngap.... She wanted chocolate but all came in vanilla flavour. Conversations continue....I still think it was chocolate flavour though...whatever lar.

That's it la. Clock strike 1am. Time to go home.

Eye Infection

Finally,visited Dr. Adrian. Queing from 12pm till 7pm...oh gosh..he really earn a fortune man! He examined and found out that my left eye was infected. I am wondering why that will happened. Anyway, he gave me 2 days MC and i will back to work tomorrow.

Luckily my eyes are not so red now but vision slightly poor. Here is the eye drops prescription.

My New Blog

My previous yummielishes blog had been removed unintentionaly due to unforseen circumstances. Hence,im creating a new one that will mark every chapter of my life. Will continue to conquer my liking for culinary cuisine,travelling and doing stuff that i enjoyed the most.

In fact today im having terrific sore eye. Can feel the pain and soreness that make my vision slightly blur. Perhaps will visit eye specialist Dr. Adrian in Island Hospital tomorrow. Another reason is my poor vision due to long hours working on the pc. I guess im gonna get a spec soon which i dont want to all the while. But what to do....aiih....
